Fault detection although seldom used is a critical part of our business. We have invested a lot of time and money in it and are proud to say that we currently outsource this service to some of our competitors.
We have identified that the most important part of fault detection is fault prevention. For this we constructed a device that is temporary installed on the system to monitor the elements while the topping is been laid. The device indicates with a flashing green light that the heater is still intact. It will sound an alarm and change to a flashing red light when the element is damaged. This allows us to fix it in time.
If the element was damaged and the alarm ignored we have to find the break under the installed topping. This we do with the help of a surge generator. In a nut shell, 1-3kV surge pushed through the element and with the help of liquid crystal we can find the break in the element.
